Christmas!

we had a great holiday, went to the sherm to visit Sam and Bjean for the holidays in their new house. we played dominoes, ate, read, opened gifts, more dominoes and more food (yeah, those are sister schuberts! lordy!)
we had a great visit. thanks mom & dad!

ghee loves the holidays

ghee is so excited about the holidays, he cannot take it. i came in the other night and he was up perched on the mantle, checking to see if his stocking had any treats yet....4 more days ghee!
then, he clearly was headed for a nightcap at the bar......
and then on to our gift/shipping pile....he's gone a bit mad, or hyper or something. but he's been funnier then ever, so i will take the craziness!

oh, the yard.

i swear we have been working on our landscaping for at least a year....we have a tiny yard, but it's taken forever! well, we are finally ALMOST finished...i think it looks real cute! we have a few more things to add, but we'll wait til spring, we are pooped.

Jeff and i went to see Scott and Julie's new baby VIC last week, he is adorable! round head and so tiny, how cute is he!

the tree is up and decorated! but i think it's hard to see the decorations, but they are there! lots of balls!

i knew ghee loved the NYtimes, and suspected he loved Oprah, but a NYT and Oprah combo? yeah, ghee read it cover to cover.

we got up early, watched "knight & day" and "minority report" in bed, along with pancakes and bacon. best day ever!

golden ghee

i couldn't find ghee today so i went back to the "man room" where i had all my eBay stuff spread out....and there he was. in the eBay tub. he was perched up against a gold handbag and look at his crazy leg! it's behind his head. ghee is beyond cute!

holiday!

i love christmas lights so much...if jeff would let me i would keep ours up all year! will post a picture of our tree tomorrow, we got a "silver shag". mainly because our house is too tiny to put a real one up, but also because we love shiny.
ghee is very excited for the holidays too! i found him wearing this today. oh ghee.

hawaii!

we had a blast in hawaii, the weather was insane and we loved the palm trees! we loved them so much i realized i never even took a picture of us....just the palm trees. so, here are some pics from our trip. oh, and cute one of jeff while we were waiting to load the ferry.

we leave tuesday for hawaii. we've never been. cannot wait for beach, sun and maybe even surfing! whoop whooop!! taking computer so i can update...i know the 3 of you will want to know what we are doing. and maybe someone should swing by and say hi to GHEE! he'd love it.

KS is cool, but his publicist shelby is EVEN COOLER. great write up in NYT, congrats to you both!

we got new grass this summer and sometimes our yard guy would forget to come trim the grass. so occasionally it looked like a jungle. so much so i swear we saw a wild puma strolling around. seriously, i cannot take it. why is ghee so CUTE??

knitta please...

my friend magda created an AMAZING installation at this year's ACL music festival. the coolest thing about it was that at night the tubes lit up....she is one crazy knitter!
oh, and if you are wondering who took these professional photos?

new fall blanket

so i am eternally looking for the perfect bedding....i still have not mastered what i think is the perfect set-up but i found this cute new striped blanket that we are loving at the foot of the bed.  someone loves it a bit more then we do.....he LOVES this new addition!

lazy

we have been lazy around here, not updating like we should. we'll do better i promise autumn. haha!
we just returned from CT visiting jim and susan (jeff's parents). it was a great weekend, and we loved seeing the entire family!

we drove to a cute town for lunch and check out the day....perfect!

one more

we had an amazing "indoor clambake" on saturday night with shelley, chris and stuart. we cooked lobster tails, filets, mussels, steamers, sausage, shrimp and corn. lordy! it was deelicious. here is a quickie snapshot. oh, and martinis and the best white wine i have had in YEARS!
